Got bored and somehow that got through my art block. I hate art blocks, you don't have inspiration and can't motivate to draw anything that looks appealing.
For some reason I began to draw Ursula. Generally, I'd stay away from drawing other Disney material, because I don't draw them very well. An example would be one of Tinkerbell. I never liked that pic I've done.
Ursula, was more of a LLToon-ified version I've made. Originally it was planned as a younger version of herself, but a few friends pointed out that she had always looked obese and all, so I changed it to a what-if-she-used-that-magic-necklace-of-hers kind of scenario.
Edit: Fixed the issue with Flotsam (or Jetsam's) tail.
The art work is amazing, the attitude behind hit...meh
Ursula never complained about how she looked- she was what she was...a mean ass sea witch. Sure she got skinny to trap ol Eric.. but she did that so she could use Ariel to get Tritons trident from him. She wanted power...not a power bar. If she wanted to be thinner she could have made herself that way in the blink of an eye. Her goal was control. We need to stop projecting our societies " fear and loathing" of fat people on to characters who could give two farts about a calorie count.
Obviously this is just my opinion, but cant we let people just be who the hell they are without changing them? that's real open mindedness.
truly nice art work though.....
And she never once said that she was bigger in the palace. She made a joke of saying she was "wasting away" being in exile. She was being sarcastic. If you want to get really technical, Ursula looks a very normal size 22 to 24 in plus size, and that is not obese in any way. If real, and not an octopus, she would most likely weight about 250 to 300lbs. That may be overweight, but not obese. If she was 450 or close to 500lbs, then she would indeed be obese.
You'd think she'd just do that to start with.
I'm pretty sure she didn't mind being huge.
I may try and depict a very sexy, seductive Ursula at some point...
Question though, I'm guessing you used the pen tool on photoshop but how did you change the thickness?
What a perv.
